Day 1
• Arrival at Muscat International Airport. You’ll be received by a Mark Tours representative
who’ll guide you and transfer you to the hotel.
• Check-in at 3 /4 / 5 star hotel of your choice in Muscat (Please note the std. check-in time is 1400hrs)
• Day on own at leisure
Day 2
• Post breakfast, you’ll be picked from hotel in a 4WD – Land Cruiser for a full day adventure tour to Wadi Bani Khalid & Wahiba Sands. On way visit the typical Omani village of Mudayrib. Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the most scenic wadis of Oman. The pools are cool, deep and absolutely stunning with crystal clear waters. Rejuvenate yourself with a swim in this cool stretch of water. Picnic lunch at Wadi Bani Khalid
• We then drive to the undulating golden sands. The great Wahiba Sands are longitudinal dunes 200 km long and 100 km wide running south from the Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. Indulge in Dune Bashing on the golden sand dunes and the dramatic sights of the sunset while we stop on one of the high dunes.
• Check-in at one of the permanent camp and enjoy a traditional Bedouin style dinner under the starlit sky.
• Overnight at Camp
Day 3
• Post breakfast, we board our SUV’s and head towards Jebel Shams. We stop at Nizwa and visit the traditional Nizwa souq where there will be an opportunity to indulge in some shopping of traditional Omani items. On our way we visit the scenic Wadi Ghul and stop at the old village of Ghul to see the abandoned Persian ruins. Drive along Wadi Nakhr for some scenic views. At the local village visit the local weavers and haggle for their colorful wares. Proceed to the mighty Jebel Shams, ‘Sun Mountain’, and Oman’s highest peak at a staggering 3000 meters.
• Check-in at the permanent camp; enjoy the mountain sunset and a delicious meal amidst the cool mountain atmosphere.
